About Rotlt

Developed in 2022, Rise of the Legendary (RotLT) is an alternative universe (AU) series about the hardships and thrilling adventures of a rising international thief. 10+ years after Sly Cooper's last adventure concluded on an ominous cliffhanger, and the Sly Cooper movie (2016) and tie-in TV show (2018) were silently shelved, there was an opportunity for passionate and talented fans to tell new stories with familiar characters from a fresh perspective.RotLT is an ode to neo-noir spy films and western animation. RotLT draws inspiration from the likes of James Bond, Cowboy Bebop, and Batman the Animated Series, among many others that fall under the genre(s). Like its predecessor, RotLT is set at the intersection of character-driven, serialized adventure and genres ranging from crime thriller to urban fantasy, blending in cartoon comedy. While this fan-made project will incorporate many elements of the Sly Cooper mythology and combine elements from the video games and short-lived comic series, the intention is to bring new life to a beloved franchise.
